Perched

Well my plans for the day feel through, so I decided to take a hike and see what I could see today. I noticed there were TONS of eagles, both adult and juvenile, flying around today. I had a hard time getting any decent pictures of them, but I did get these two juveniles perched on some rocks. I also saw a lot of deer and Big Horn Sheep. There are two more pictures of the landscape in the fog that I may post at some point, if I can get them looking how I want. At this point they have big glowing spots in the middle due to the sun coming through the fog… Maybe someone will have an idea of how to remove this.

Snow Covered Canyon

So far I have been on a roll this year in the photography department! I have had a lot of time to get out and explore over the first week of the new year. It will not stay that way as the quarter goes on so I figure I better get out while I can! We have gotten a decent amount of snow here the last few days so I thought I would try to get some pictures of the canyon covered in snow. This was my favorite from this outing!

Foggy Morning

Well with this last post I say goodbye to my winter break. Back to school bright and early tomorrow for me! This picture was one of those that I didn’t think much of when I first saw it. After a second look I realized there might be something to this one so I decided to edit it and see what happens. Turned out to be pretty decent! Probably my favorite of this batch.

Well, until next time!

I woke up on this cold frosty New Year’s morning and thought “What better way to ring in the New Year than to go out and take some pictures?” So I grabbed my camera and took off to see what I could see. The fog and steam rising off this pond caught my eye, as did a heron perched at the very tip top of a big cedar. Not a bad way to start off 2013!

This past year was crazy, yet awesome. I had so many fun, interesting, strange, and exciting moments. 2013 looks to be even more exciting than 2012! Here is to a great 2013!
